It’s Happening….

First there was Radiohead.

Then there was Nine Inch Nails.

Now Jamiroquai & Oasis are possibly jumping on the anti-label bandwagon. (Oasis IS bigger than the Beatles you know…)

I just don’t get it. I mean, the RIAA has gone to such great lengths to protect the artists… They’ve sued cripples, single-mothers, hell, they’ve even sued dead people to try to take care of these talented artists. Why on earth would the artists walk away from the RIAA and the industry that has done so much for them?

It’s nice to see some of the bigger acts that have been in the industry for a while bringing their music to the fans.

With that said… here is an article covering 23 Album Covers that Changed Everything. Who do you think should or shouldn’t be on there?

So I came across this review of a new music service. Basically, they let you upload your music collection (unprotected files only – iTunes tracks need not apply), and access it from anywhere. It’s in beta, but currently free and with no storage limitations. It automatically finds the album art and associates it with your music.

You can also setup playlists that you can share online and let people listen to your collection. Anyhow, I thought it was interesting. I’ve setup a separate Music page here (check the right-hand column) that has the MediaMaster Widget with what I’ve uploaded out of my collection so far. I don’t have any playlists setup yet, but you can check it out anyhow.

Interesting timing on this, I have another post in draft on the death of internet radio. Stay tuned.
